RFCOP Crime Update Week of June 18th-24th

Message From Precinct 6 Captain Trentzsch:

With the approach of summer and the weather getting warmer, please take a few moments to look at our crime prevention tips. We are entering a season that historically has seen a rise in deception burglaries, home improvement scams and shed burglaries. There are useful ideas that could prevent you from becoming a victim and I encourage that you share this information with your friends and neighbors.
I would also encourage everyone to consider becoming involved with a Community Association or Citizens On Patrol Group. I understand that becoming involved with your community can be intimidating but there are some great groups in Towson that have been doing this for a long time and could use your help. Many of the members of these groups have met friends for life and enjoy being personally involved in what happens to their community. These groups also make our jobs much easier as they know what is going on in their neighborhoods and can be a key component in providing information to solve crime. If you would like to become more involved with your community, please consider joining one of our 20 Towson Citizens On Patrol groups or your local Community Association. I personally meet throughout the year with these groups and you can take this opportunity to talk with me and meet some of the supervisors and post car officers that work your area. For further information concerning these groups and when we meet please contact our Outreach Team.
