I got a fraudulent charge on my credit card from BLS WEBLEARN yesterday.   A lot of people are receiving these transactions.  Would you mind sending a warning email for people to check their bank accounts?  My bank is very busy today with these fraudulent transactions and is issuing new credit cards.

Maybe you can broadcast this URL. Note the many comments - most charges are very small, $12, $15, etc. so as to not get much attention, I am sure.   Below link to SCF – Scam Call Fighters

Kamenetz Announces Online Code Enforcement System that Boosts Efficiency,
Offers Citizens Direct Access and Real-Time Updates

Towson, MD -  Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz met this morning with a number of community leaders to officially launch a new online system that offers residents unprecedented access to Code Enforcement case updates while streamlining administrative functions, enhancing the County's efficiency and reducing costs.

"This new Code Enforcement tracking and management system is the next step in making County government more efficient and cost-effective, while enabling citizens to communicate with us 24 hours a day, seven days a week," Kamenetz said. "This field-based system means that our Code Enforcement inspectors can spend a lot more time out in the field inspecting and less time in the office doing paperwork. Plus it offers community members instant access to track our enforcement efforts."

The system empowers citizens, giving them immediate confirmation when they submit a complaint, direct notification of inspections and correction notices, and, if necessary, details of enforcement actions and hearings.

Latest Element in System-wide Technology Upgrades

This is the latest module implemented as part of the County's new $1.13 million technology platform that integrates Geographical Information System (GIS) data with agency workflow systems, maximizing efficiencies and supporting business decisions while also increasing transparency and offering better customer service and access. These automations improve overall data integrity and reduce the costs and wasted time related to manual data entry and analysis.

Other processes already automated through this system include Animal Services, Animal Licensing, Development Management and Residential Parking.

Code Enforcement System Saves Time and Money

The new system outfits County Code Inspectors with iPad notepad computers to develop their daily routes, investigate and report on complaints, request correction notices, take photographs and generate re-inspection dates. This new field-based capability eliminates the need for inspectors to spend hours each day in the office doing paperwork and printing and filing hard copies of photos and reports. The County projects savings of about $75,000 per year in printing and paper supplies alone, more than offsetting the $18,400 cost for the inspectors' iPads.

The Code Enforcement Bureau processes about 18,000 complaints per year, with increased volume during the warmer months, including an estimated 150-200 complaints per day in the summer for tall grass and weeds. The most common complaints include tall grass and weeds; junk, trash and debris, untagged/inoperable vehicles; trash not stored properly and graffiti.
"These kinds of concerns really go to the core of protecting our neighborhoods and this new automated system gives community leaders a great tool for reporting and tracking troubling situations in their areas," said Baltimore County Council Chair Cathy Bevins.

I found a damaged Mr. Beams Motion Sensor Light, same as pictured in post, on the hard court at Dumbarton Middle School this morning. I checked the homes on Old Trail, York & Rodgers Court and those Mr. Beams customers still have their lights intact. I'm guessing it might have come from a home on Heathfield. Please let me know if you are missing your light.robertw613@gmail.com – posted 3/9 on Nextdoor Neighbor
I found a damaged Mr. Beams light this morning in the Chumleigh/Rodgers court alley. I picked up all the pieces hoping the owner might be able to put it back together.

RFCOP Crime Report - February 3rd - March 2nd

Message from Sgt. Fink, Precinct 6:
Good Day Everyone,
On this week's Crime Report there are two Burglary trends that we wish to bring to everyone's attention.

First, Between 02/27/14 and 03/01/14 PC06 Officers investigated three Burglaries where those responsible threw a brick/rock through a rear/side window to gain entry to the residence. Once inside the suspect/s removed property, electronics and jewelry among other items. In one case the Resident came home and found the Suspect in a back bedroom whereupon he fled out the broken rear window. Victim could only describe the Suspect as an African-American Male, 20-30 years of age.  Two of these Burglaries happened in the 8000 block of York Rd, the third in the 1100 block Donnington Circle.

If anyone in the area of 8000 York Rd or 1100 Donnington Circle heard glass breaking, saw someone picking up/carrying a brick or rock or may have seen the possible Suspect running from the York Rd address please contact PC06 at 410-887-2361 with any information you may have.

Second, Between 03/01/14 and 03/02/14 PC06 Officers responded to two Garage Burglaries in the 100 block of Charlesbrooke Rd. In both incidents Suspect/s gained entry through an unlocked door then ransacked vehicles parked inside those garages removing property.

If anyone has information on either of these Burglaries please contact PC06 at that number.
Last note, reference to those garage burglaries please remember to always secure your homes, vehicles and garages/sheds to best protect you, your family and your property. Weather, season, temperature makes no difference to someone looking to steal so do your part in best protecting that which is valuable to you. Always properly secure all windows and doors.

Thank You, Sgt Stephen Fink, 2815  PC06 COT
