Election
of the next Rodgers Forge Community, Inc. Board of Governors will take place in
September. About half of the 23 Board
members terms will be expiring. They
are: Ginny Allen, Mike Calwell, Scott Carlson, Jean Duvall, Pat Foretich, Don
Gerding, Jennifer Helfrich, Ada Montessoro, Stu Sirota, Del Schmidt and Bryan
Tillman. To be eligible for election to
the Board, these qualifications must be met:
- Reside in the geographic area of Rodgers Forge (see page 111 in The Rodgers Forge Directory).
- Be 21 years of age.
- Live in a household for which the dues are current and paid.
New
candidates for Board member positions must indicate their interest by letter
and submit the same so as to be received by July 14th. Notification of interest (and a suggested
brief resume) should be sent to RFC, Inc., c/o 201 Dumbarton Road, Baltimore,
MD 21212, attn: 2012 RFC, Inc.
Nominating Committee. The cut-off date
of July 14th will be strictly enforced this year with no exceptions. Letters may be hand delivered or sent via the mail, as long as they are at the proper address by 11:59pm on July 14th.
Once
candidates have submitted their requests for Board Member consideration, they
will be contacted by the Nominating Committee.
If any of the criteria have not been met, they will be notified at that
time. Participation requirements for
those who are elected to the 2-year term are:
Serve on at least 1 committee, attend a minimum of 7 meetings per year
and support the RFC, Inc.’s Mission Statement (found on page 5 of the
Directory) and Conduct of Board Members Statement (found below). Candidates will be asked if they confirm the
participation criteria.

Members Statement
1. Board members may not present their views as representative of
those of the RFC, Inc. Board of Governors where this is not the fact.
2. While serving as a Board member, one may not present oneself or
one’s views in such a way wherein it could be inferred that these views
represent those of the Board of Governors of the Rodgers Forge Community.
3. Board members may not usurp the authority, position, or
responsibility of any individual on or any committee of the Board of
Governors.
4. Board members will not undermine Board determinations.
Important decisions are typically made via a board vote, with each issue
being discussed and every member present having one vote. It is
inappropriate to work against a Board decision because one disagrees with any
particular outcome.
