Precinct 12/North Point Man Charged With Impersonating a Police Officer
Baltimore
County, Md. (May 22, 2012) - Donald James Church Jr., 31, of the unit
block of Sollers Point Road, 21222 was recently charged with
impersonating a Baltimore County police officer in St. Mary’s County.
Detectives are concerned that the suspect may have engaged in similar
behavior here in Baltimore County, and are asking anyone who may have
encountered Donald Church while he was impersonating an officer to
report the incident.
Police Paraphernalia
Working
with investigators from St. Mary’s County, detectives learned that
Donald Church claimed to be a Baltimore County Police Officer from the
Narcotics Unit and Precinct 12/North Point. On May 15, officers served a
search warrant on his home and recovered police paraphernalia including
a badge, a realistic looking toy gun, and imitation police reports that
he had written. Witnesses also told investigators that Donald Church
has been seen wearing what appeared to be a handgun and a holster out in
public while displaying a badge around his neck.

At 2:20 a.m., a man and woman were walking in the area when a suspect took the man’s wallet and fled to a vehicle occupied by three other men. The suspect took the money out of the wallet and threw the wallet back to the victim. Responding officers were able to locate and stop the vehicle. Joshua Caroline, 18, Demetrik Price, 20, Pierre Foster, 19, and Jeremy Hall, 19, were arrested and charged with robbery and assault.May 16-17: Commercial Burglaries (two businesses), 6300 block of York Road, 21212
Between 11 p.m. on May 16 and 4 a.m. on May 17, an unknown suspect broke the front glass windows of China Wok and Fortunato’s Pizza to enter the business. Money was taken from both businesses.May 15: First Degree Assault, 6800 block of Collinsdale Road, 21234

9:30 p.m., two victims were walking when three suspects approached in a
black vehicle and demanded property. The victims ignored the suspects
and kept walking. The suspects drove off, and then returned with the
vehicle lights off. The suspects struck one of the victims with their
car, and then checked the victim’s pockets for property. One of the
other suspects tackled the second victim and took an unknown item from
the victim’s pants pocket.
May 15: Robbery, 8400 block of Oakleigh Road, 21234
At 7:20 p.m., a man assaulted the victim over a debt. The suspect then stole the victim’s cell phone. Police responded and arrested Timothy Scott Lester, 23, of the 5800 block of Bland Avenue, 21215. He was charged with robbery, assault, and theft.
