RFCA Summer Meetings

Typically the board does not conduct regular meetings during the summer so please adjust your schedules accordingly should you plan to attend during June, July or August.

In lieu of the June meeting the board will be having a closed educational session with local experts to discuss covenants and restrictions so that down the road all boards members are informed of this process and exactly how it works and pertains to homes in the Forge.

The next regular meeting will be August 1st, 7pm at the RFES cafeteria. There will not be any meeting in July.

In September the board will resume its regular open meeting schedule on the 2nd Wednesday of every month, 7pm at the RFES cafeteria.

If covenants and restrictions are issues of apparent interest to the community, why is it closed to the community? Closed meetings should be limited to personnel or some other issue that requires secrecy.

  2. The purpose of the meeting is to educate the board on the topic so that going forward we can relay the proper info to the community. The board will not be conducting any regular business during the meeting and it is only serving as an educational experience for the board members. For all intents and purposes, it is not a "board meeting." It just so happens that during the summer months we work on an abridged schedule (as is typical in the past), as people have plans during this time we have limited opportunities to get to together and do things like this. Perhaps once all members are up to speed, down the road there could be an open discussion on covenants and restrictions at a regular meeting.

  3. Isn't anything worth educating the board about also worth educating neighborhood residents about? What's with the secrecy?!
