Looking to dispose of expired or unwanted prescription medications? On Saturday, April 28, the Baltimore County Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will collect these medications (prescription only) from residents. Participants do not need to be from Baltimore County, and identification will not be checked. The DEA National Take Back Initiative is an effort by law enforcement to get unused, and in some cases, dangerous drugs out of homes and disposed of in a safe and secure manner.Baltimore County police officers and DEA agents will be at drop-off locations from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Illicit drugs or syringes will not be accepted as these items can pose a health hazard to those collecting the medications.For a list of drop-off locations and further details, please visit the County web site:
