R.F. Citizens on Patrol news:
During last week’s hurricane Irene many people were without power most of the week. During the first night of the storm, Sunday, Aug. 28th bikes and a motorcycle were stolen. Our patrollers did approximately 30 hours of patrol time during the week concentrating mostly on the power outage areas. The schools and lighted streets were also patrolled with a result of reduced incidents in the Forge.
Now that life is getting back to normal, the kids back in school, it is time to again concentrate on “LIGHTS ON, LOCK UP, LOOK OUT”. Do not leave your house with a window or door open, even just to go next door. Keep your eyes on our children walking to and from school. Please drive slowly through the neighborhood, especially around the elementary schools were the smaller children are harder to see. I know everyone’s lives are filled to the brim keeping up with all that needs to be done, but a few seconds of preparation and caution could save you or someone you know the loss of property or the unthinkable of a child injured.
