What the event is:
Two Lutherville moms volunteered last year to put on a 5K to help raise money for the Cool Kids Campaign’s Learning Center. Through their tireless efforts, they helped raise over $15,000 for the charity! They’re back for a second year, and they are hoping you will join them on Saturday, June 11th.
Event details:
Saturday, June 11th
Registration starts at 7am, 5K race begins at 8am, and the kids 1 mile fun run starts at 8:30am
Face painting for the kid (or adults – they don’t judge!), raffle prizes, and other fun activities will be set-up – they have truly tried to make this a family friendly event. Worried about the heat? This is the only 5K I know of that provides cold, wet wash cloths at the end of the race for each finisher!

Who is The Cool Kids Campaign?
A Cockeysville non-profit organization that seeks to improve the lives of children living with a cancer diagnosis. Their programs focus on several different areas, but their biggest project to date is opening this summer. As you can imagine, children going through chemotherapy spend many weeks outside of school and away from their friends. The Learning Center will address both the academic and social implications of the disease through free tutoring and social programs for the kids.
