The Charm City Craft Mafia Steps into Summer

The temperature may have cooled this week but the hottest deals are just around the corner. The Charm City Craft Mafia has announced Pile of Craft, an indie and alternative craft fair featuring a wide array of the country’s best crafters, will take place on June 25th from 10 AM to 5 PM at St. John’s Church, located at 2640 St. Paul St, Baltimore, MD 21218.

Shoppers at Pile of Craft will delight in finding one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts from over 65 vendors, juried from applicants nationwide. Local crafter favorites include Bowerbox Press, City Sparrow, Cotton Monster, Found Studio, illegible ink, MeepCraft, Phampersand Press, Pink Kiss Pottery, Red Prairie Press, Spaghetti Kiss and Sugar Paperie. For a full list of vendors, information on the fair and more information on the Charm City Craft Mafia and its talented members, please visit http://www.charmcitycraftmafia.com.

In addition to checking out the vendors, please visit Carlybird Weaves’ ongoing demo with handwoven cuffs, scarves and cloth for your body and home as well as hear what one of our craftastic idols, Hello Craft, is up to. You’ll also want to commemorate your Pile of Craft experience with a stop at the Anneka Photo Booth!

All the great work available for your viewing pleasure and purchase will clearly make you hungry, so make sure you step outside to the curb and visit Baltimore food truck phenom, Curbside Café, and enjoy their famously fresh burritos!

You can join the Charm City Craft Mafia in helping Baltimore Clayworks by purchasing a raffle ticket (or three!) at Pile of Craft. One lucky person will win a huge basket filled with a collection of handmade goods from many of our super talented vendors! All money raised from the raffle will be donated to Baltimore Clayworks, and the more money we can raise, the more potters’ wheels will spin, kilns will fire, and educational and collaborative programs in ceramic arts are able to take place.

The Charm City Craft Mafia is an organization that promotes independent artists, designers, craftspeople and businesses in the Baltimore region. Our collective of artists is committed to educating the greater community through the sharing of our skills and knowledge. In this vein, we support the network of indie art and craft businesses in Baltimore, while celebrating the quirks of our charming city.
