Halloween report:

October 27: Third Degree Burglary, unit block of Danforth Court, 21204

At 5:13 a.m., the victim awoke to find someone kneeling next to her and touching her leg. She yelled and the suspect ran out of the apartment. It is unknown how the suspect gained entry.

October 26: First Degree Burglary, 1400 block of Taylor Avenue, 21234

Between 2:40 and 3:30 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the home through an unlocked basement door. A pit bull was taken.

October 25 to October 26: Second Degree Burglary, 1400 block of Stevenson Lane, 21212

Between 9 p.m. on October 25 and 10:58 a.m. on October 26, an unknown suspect broke into a shed and took two bicycles.

October 25 to October 26: First Degree Burglary, 7900 block of Knollwood Road, 21204

Between 5 p.m. on October 25 and noon on October 26, an unknown suspect broke open the rear bedroom window. Jewelry and jewelry boxes were taken.

October 25: Attempted Burglary, 1300 block of Heather Hill Road, 21239

At 8:30 p.m., an unknown suspect attempted to pry open the dining room window. Entry was not gained.

October 25: First Degree Burglary, 600 block of Bosley Avenue, 21204

Between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., an unknown suspect used a rock to break door glass. A duffle bag and coins were taken.

October 24: Armed Robbery - Gun, 1400 block of Dartmouth Avenue, 21234

At 5:30 p.m., three suspects approached the victim and one suspect displayed a gun. The suspects took the victim's keys and wallet, and fled on foot. All three suspects are black males, 6'1", with medium builds.

October 24: Attempted First Degree Burglary, 1900 block of Ruxton Road, 21204

Between 12:25 and 12:30 a.m., an unknown suspect pried the front door but did not gain entry.

October 24: First Degree Burglary, 300 block of Southwind Road, 21204

Between 11:45 a.m. and 3:27 p.m., an unknown suspect forced open a side door and took electronics, purses, and credit cards.

October 24: First Degree Burglary, 7000 block of Copeleigh Road, 21212

Between 11 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the home and took electronics, instruments, jewelry and money.

October 24: First Degree Burglary, 6300 block of Banbury Road, 21239

Between 10:30 and 11:06 a.m., an unknown suspect forced open the door and attempted to take a television from the wall.

October 24: First Degree Burglary, unit block of Treeway Court, 21286

Between 6:45 a.m. and 7 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the apartment through unknown means and took two iPads.

October 23: First Degree Burglary, 1800 block of Aberdeen Road, 21234

Between 7 and 8 p.m., the suspects knocked on the victim's door and advised they were selling energy alternatives. The victim let the suspects inside her home. One of the suspects asked to use the restroom and took cash and credit cards from the victim's bedroom. The first suspect is a black male, 25 to 35 years old, 5'11", 180 pounds, with a medium build and dark complexion. The second suspect is a black female, 25 to 35 years old, 5'7", 140 pounds, with a medium build and dark complexion.

October 21: Armed Robbery - Knife, unit block of West Pennsylvania Avenue, 21204

At 10:20 p.m., two men entered Towson Wine and Spirits. One suspect displayed a knife, and the suspects took money from the register. Both suspects are black males, 5'11" to 6'2" tall.

From our neighbors and Surrounding Communities:

As one of the many parents in the neighborhood, I am asking that everyone please watch their speed when driving through. We are on Brandon, one of the widest streets (2-way traffic), and people drive so fast on our road - even fellow parents. I can only imagine how it must be to live on Stevenson. I know it's so easy to get distracted and not realize how fast we are driving, but please be aware that there are kids out playing all over the place. And while I'm sure we are all brainwashing our kids to not run into the street, we all know it happens. In light of Halloween tomorrow, please be extra vigilant for the little ones! – posted on Nextdoor Neighbor 10/30

 

This just in from one of our neighboring communities:

First post -

The magazine salesman came to our house last night.  Boy was he insistent.  He claimed that our neighbor recommended that he knock on our door to talk with us.  He had his sales speech memorized and polished, and every time I tried to break away, he came up with something new.  The whopper of the sales pitch was that he was the son of a retired Air Force colonel who lived around the block and that his father was pushing him to sell the magazines.

I can see how people can get sucked in on the scam.  He reminded me of the Travelers that would swoop into my hometown and offer to seal coat driveways for senior citizens, or fix their roofs.

He came to our house to but with a slightly different story. Said our elderly neighbor sent him and I foolishly opened the door! Scary.
