08/06/2013.
A group of men stole a vehicle in Waverly, then joined up with another group and cruised around North Baltimore, robbing joggers of their cell phones, police reports say. The incidents were reported to police about an hour apart, with victims describing being boxed in by youths driving a dark-colored sedan and a second group in a white SUV, which had been reported stolen at about 6 a.m. on Aug. 2. [...] Police next responded to the 5500 block of N. Charles St., where a woman said she was jogging in front of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen when she noticed the white SUV and the sedan. She told police that she believed the cars were following her, and she tried to speed up and change directions. The driver of the SUV and his passenger got out of the vehicle and demanded that she hand over her phone. When she resisted, another male grabbed pepper spray out of her hand, pointed it at her, and said, "Give me your [expletive] phone or I'm going to kill you."

"Another car broken into. Anyone missing any shopping bags?"
I just noticed my car was broken into sometime in the past 24 hours (8/11-8/12). They didn't get anything of value aside from an old tool kit. However, the person who did it left a bunch of cloth shopping bags in my car along with some travel umbrellas. So in case you live around the 300 block of Overbrook Road and your car was also rifled though and you're missing some shopping bags, I have them!

"Car rifled through last night (8/13) 200 Block of Murdock"
My husband is just telling me this now, but he noticed his car was rifled through this morning. It does not appear that anything was taken, but all compartments inside were open and it was obvious someone was looking for something worth taking. What's more curious is that is was left open. He NEVER leaves his door unlocked. We will assume he, just this once, forgot to lock it but it is curious. My car was fine (although I wouldn't even know as it looks rifled through all the time and the cloth diaper I left in there surely is enough to thwart any thief).
