Prepare as Hurricane Sandy Looms

  1. Thanks for posting this!
    It would be great if someone could encourage members of our community board to walk the neighborhood this weekend and remind residents to clear yards of debris, toys, planted pots and to clear drains, etc. Also - consider making sure someone is checking on our elder or home bound residents to make sure they have enough emergency water, flashlights/batteries and non perishable foods.
    I'll shoot a similar note to the board members if I can figure it out.

  2. Great ideas, I'll be sure to do all of the above around my block. I know the storm drains often get clogged especially this time of year. Its very important to make sure they are clear prior to this storm coming to prevent flooding.
