RFCOP Crime Update Week of February 20th - 26th

Baltimore Co. residents can now report some crimes online

Filing reports online will be available only for minor crimes

Victims of minor crime in Baltimore County can now file a report online, said police, who are planning to demonstrate the system Monday morning at a police precinct in Dundalk.

The victim was sitting at a red light when the suspect tapped on the window with a handgun. The suspect told the victim to get out of the vehicle. The suspect stole the victim’s car. M/B, 35

The suspect entered location and displayed a gun. The suspect took property then fled from location and entered van (possibly a Ford Windstar) headed south on Falls Rd. B/M, 5-8, black jacket, black



hoody, blue jeans, and white shoes.

An unknown suspect broke a window to the location and took property. The property was recovered at Loch Hill Rd. and Regester Ave. The suspect abandoned the property and fled on foot. Unknown

Victim arrived home to a Burglary in progress. Suspect shot victim then fled from location. Responding Police located Suspect at Bosley & Chesapeake Aves and placed under arrest. Victim transported to local Hospital, expected to make full recovery. Investigation continuing. 1 Adult Male Arrested (see iWatch article below)
Attempted Murder, Burglary Suspect in Precinct 6/Towson is Arrested

Bradford Steven Holup was arrested in a burglary, attempted murder case.Baltimore County, Md. (February 27, 2012) - Baltimore County police and fire personnel responded to the 500 block of Allegheny Avenue, 21204 in Precinct 6/Towson at approximately 1:30 a.m. on February 26. A 65-year-old man at the location reported that he had arrived home to discover a burglar inside his home. The suspect made the victim walk into the basement and the victim was shot on the stairwell as he entered the basement. The victim was shot in the back of the neck, but the wound was not life-threatening.

The suspect ran from the home and the victim was able to call 911. The suspect attempted to steal the victim's car, but was unable to do so because the vehicle was equipped with an anti-theft device. Detectives are still attempting to determine exactly what was taken during the burglary. There is no indication at this point that the victim was targeted, and there is no known relationship between the victim and the suspect.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest

At approximately 4 a.m., an officer observed a Chevy Lumina pulled over to the side of the road near the intersection of Bosley Avenue and Chesapeake Avenue. The officer observed someone matching the suspect description run from between several buildings and enter the vehicle, which then pulled away. A traffic stop was conducted and the suspect, who was found to have some of the victim's property, was placed under arrest.

The suspect was identified as Bradford Steven Holup, 49, of the 4000 block of Corse Avenue in Baltimore City, 21206. Bradford Steven Holup was charged with attempted murder, first degree assault and first degree burglary. He is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
