A survey of the rear of Rodgers Forge homes shows that most of our neighbors have not yet displayed their house numbers as required so that emergency vehicles may identify their houses.
This can be accomplished inexpensively and numbers may be purchased at nearby hardware stores as raised numbers, similar to those on the front of most of our homes, or as flat, reflective numbers.
The numbers must be at least three inches high and readily visible from the alley. They can be posted on fences, decks, porches or rear walls.
There are many homes that do not have number posted in the rear. These folks will be sorry if a fire truck or emergency vehicle cannot find their home because of it. Posting the numbers in easy, inexpensive and the law!
