  3. I am an animal lover and dog owner. There's often a lot of chat about leash laws and cleaning up after your pet. I abide by them all. I would like to see just as strong an effort made to cat owners on licensing as well as not allowing them to roam. I have found cat feces in my garden as well as a number of dead birds and bunnies. I can't be the only one this bothers!?

  4. Regarding the tree on Heathfield, I presume you mean the one that has been severely trimmed? Perhaps it is on it's way to being completely removed. We're not aware of the status.

The board has for years been putting together programs for homeowners to plant new trees. The Forge's mature trees are beautiful, and add value to the neighborhood.

Board member Fran Lawrance most recently has championed this effort. Please contact Fran for more information.

    Thanks.

  5. Regarding cats roaming the neighborhood, we advocate that all people follow the rules; County law does not allow cats to roam freely any more that dogs are allowed to roam freely. Leash laws apply to all animals.

The board has published quite a bit over the years to remind folks to leash their animals.

We sincerely appreciate you abiding by the rules. Too bad more people don't. Pets running away, attacking another animal or person, or getting struck by a vehicle is a horrible way to learn the value of keeping your pet on a leash.
