Recent Events reported by Rodgers Forge residents:

 

2-3 white male teenagers

At 1:30 am (8/24) 2-3 white male teenagers were breaking mirrors on Old Trail making a left on to health field and supposedly on Dumbarton.  I called the police immediately and filed a report. I have them all the information I could.

Bike Thefts…

At least 4 bikes were stolen last night (8/24), to the tune of $2200 dollars, from 3 garages on the Dunkirk side of the alleyway between Dunkirk and Hopkins (between Blenheim and Pinehurst). They forced open doors in most cases so I'd recommend you think about moving anything valuable out of garages for now. The cops were hoping to get fingerprints off a screwdriver they dropped in our garage but I won't be holding my breath.

Homeless man...

Came home today (8/25) after being out all day to a man asleep on our back porch at our patio table. Looked like he had set up camp, had been reading the paper that I had left out there from this morning. Rather than confronting him on our own, called the police. Three officers were here, in less than 5 minutes. Basically, he was here looking for food or "any help he could get". Our yard isn't the easiest to get into and so it was pretty ballsy of him to go in there, sit there and wait. So just letting anyone else out there know, in case this guy comes to your house. The police confronted him and he left, just after my husband gave him some food. He is about a 5'5, African American male, about 300lbs.
