From Stu Sirota, RFCA President:
A HISTORIC DISTRICT TAX CREDIT SEMINAR will be held on MARCH 19th AT 7:00 PM at FIRST & ST STEPHENS CHURCH HALL
6915 YORK ROAD, PRESENTER, NEIL JUNKER, O’CONNELL AND ASSOCIATES.
Rodgers
Forge is a National Historic District and homeowners are eligible for
historic tax credits for qualified work. Neil will present information on
the types of projects that might qualify for the tax credits as well as
application, getting approvals and finally obtaining the credits.
Bottom line on Rodgers Forge roof repair/replacement: according to the Baltimore County Landmarks Preservation Commission, RF homeowners are eligible for County or State tax credits ONLY if the "rehabilitation" is "in-kind." Meaning: if you have a slate roof and you're changing to fiberglas shingle, you are not eligible for the tax credit.
