The suspect went behind the counter, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash and cigarettes from two employees. The suspect obtained cash and cigarettes and fled on foot to the rear of the store. M/B, 30’s, 5-11, 200, blue baseball cap, blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.

The suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and pressed it on the victim’s forearm. The suspect told the victim to open the cash registers. The suspect grabbed money out of the registers and fled on foot. M/B, 30’s, 5-11, 180, med build, blue baseball cap, blue t-shirt, black sunglasses and blue jeans.

The suspects approached the victim and surrounded him. The victim was punched in the face. The suspects took his property and fled on foot.4 M/B’s, 16-20, white t-shirts

The suspects approached the victim. One of the suspects asked the victim for money and displayed a knife. The other suspect told the victim to leave. The victim identified both suspects who were arrested. 2 Male Juveniles Arrested

The suspects pried open the rear window screen and entered the house. The suspects ransacked the house and moved a TV, laptop computer, and a jar of change near the front door. The suspects fled upon the arrival of the police. Nothing appears to be missing at this time. The suspects possibly fled in a burgundy Dodge Caravan. 2 M/B’s, late teens, white shirts, and shorts.

The suspects entered the home through a side window. The suspects removed property. Unknown

Sometime during the listed two month time span, unknown suspects removed property from the attached garage. The garage door was unlocked or open when the incident occurred. There are no signs of forced entry. Unknown

TU Voice Emergency System Test- July 7

On Thursday, July 7, 2011 @ 11:00 am, Towson University will be testing its external voice emergency system. Please be advised, audible warning tones, recorded voice messages and a live voice message indicating that a test is being conducted may be heard in the communities/areas adjacent to the university. No action is necessary.

Public Input Sought on School Board Reform

From the office of Councilman Marks:

"One of the most important issues facing state and local government is
how to reform the Baltimore County School Board selection process.
While the School Board has included many talented members over the
years, many parents and community leaders believe it is time to
localize the selection process for School Board members.



During the last legislative session, the Maryland General Assembly
created a task force to evaluate options. That task force will meet
on July 6 at the Reisterstown library at 6:30 p.m.; on July 7 at Essex
library at 6:30 p.m.; and on July 25 at the Towson library at 6:30
p.m.

Public comment is welcome.

Rats: UPDATE (Sweep delayed but action still to come)

From RFC VP Tyler Mays,

"As an update on the rat situation, we have been advised by Councilman
Marks that Code Enforcement can't do full on sweeps until August.
Councilman Marks has been pushing Code Enforcement for a more
immediate response. Accordingly, Code Enforcement will be come
through the neighborhood, but not as part of a community sweep. They
are only going to investigate "problematic areas"

Councilman Marks' office suggested that we try to gather information
to pinpoint specific areas to investigate. It is my hope that we can
post an inquiry on the blogs to gather data on places to direct code
enforcement to investigate.

County to Run Sweep of Neighborhood to Address Rat Issue

As you may have heard in the past couple weeks, there is a rising concern about rats, particularly in the alleys, in certain areas of the Forge. The RFC has been working with the County to address this issue and as a result, the County Code Enforcement Office will be conducting a sweep of our alleys and streets looking out for various violations that could potentially be linked to this problem. The County WILL be aggressively issuing citations to those neighbors they feel are not complying with their responsibilities to keep our community free of rats.

Some of the things they'll be looking for:

- All trashcans should have lids on them
- All yards should be free of pet feces
- All yards should be free of trash, debris, food scraps, pet food, etc
- All alleys should be free of trash and debris as well

Even if you are NOT in one of the areas where rats have been spotted, please make sure you are in compliance as we don't want to give these pests another home once they are driven away from their current location.

Shoppers at Pile of Craft will delight in finding one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts from over 65 vendors, juried from applicants nationwide. Local crafter favorites include Bowerbox Press, City Sparrow, Cotton Monster, Found Studio, illegible ink, MeepCraft, Phampersand Press, Pink Kiss Pottery, Red Prairie Press, Spaghetti Kiss and Sugar Paperie.
